Quicksilver by Callie Hart completely surprised me in the best way. I started reading it without really knowing what to expect, and I definitely did not expect there to be explicit scenes in the story. Normally that is not always something I look for in a book, but here they actually fit the atmosphere and the relationship dynamics really well, so they did not feel unnecessary or forced.
What I enjoyed the most was how unpredictable the story became. There were several really interesting twists that kept changing the direction of the plot, and every time I thought I understood what was happening, something new was revealed. The world-building and tension made it very hard to stop reading.
The ending especially caught me off guard. I genuinely did not expect things to turn out the way they did, and it left me thinking about the story long after I finished the book. Overall, it was a gripping and surprisingly immersive read, and I’m already about to start reading the second book because I need to know what happens next.

Hey everyone 😁
I’m looking for a book that truly grabs you and doesn’t let go something immersive, intense, and maybe even a bit emotionally tormenting in the best way. I want a story that can completely occupy my mind and linger with me long after I put it down.
I usually read sci-fi, but I’m very open to other genres if the book is powerful and engaging enough.
If you have a recommendation, I’d really appreciate it if you could also share why it hooked you, what emotions it left you with, and include a short spoiler-free summary.
Looking forward to your suggestions!
