I’m on Egghead Arc and I’m thinking how can Rob Lucci say he doesn’t acknowledge Luffy as an Emperor when not even an hour/chapter prior bro went Gear 5 BELT TO ASS on him

I’m sure this is very much a character thing and has already been discussed in a separate post but this is sorta just me live-tweeting lol

I’m catching up in One Piece, reading the colourized chapters and I’m up to ch 987. They’ve done a really good job but I know after having seen lots of clips that the animation for the rest of this arc goes cuckoo bananas. Wondering if anyone has any opinion(s) about whether I should continue reading or watch the rest of Wano?

I’m thinking I could also just read it and go back and watch the fights/good scenes.
