Is spending more for advanced safety features worth it?

Currently in the research phase for an infant car seat. I know that all car seats pass the federal safety requirements and are therefore all safe options. But do the added safety features (like a load leg and rigid latch) make the car seat even safer than other seats that don’t have these features, or is it merely marketing tactics? Right now I’m most interested in the Clek liing and the Chicco key fit max, and I’m wondering if the added features on the Clek are worth the price difference.
