I was wrongfully terminated on Roblox after being deliberately set up and extorted by another player — Roblox is now investigating
Hey everyone, I wanted to share my story because I think it's important for people to know this can happen and hopefully get some advice on my situation.
On September 12th 2024 my Roblox account (Accetix) was permanently terminated for child endangerment — something I would absolutely never do. Here is exactly what happened:
A user contacted me on Discord under the username _vension_ (Roblox username: skythekidbull) claiming to be a game developer looking for bug testers. He invited me to join his game called 'The Museum: Typer'. I had no reason to be suspicious so I agreed to help.
When I joined the game I was presented with what appeared to be a typing test. However the game automatically generated and submitted the phrase 'I WHIP AND ABUSE CHILDREN' in chat on my behalf without my knowledge or consent. I never typed those words. The fact that the exact same phrase was flagged three times consecutively clearly proves it was automatically generated and not typed by me manually — no real person types the same phrase three times in a row.
While I was in the game Vension messaged me on Discord threatening to get me banned unless I gave him all of my in-game items. When I refused he carried out his threat and later openly admitted to everything in our Discord conversation. After my account was terminated he deleted most of his messages on Discord, clearly showing he knew exactly what he was doing. Fortunately I had already recorded the full conversation before he deleted everything.
I have the following evidence:
- A video of the full Discord conversation showing the setup, the threat and his confession (link in comments)
- A screenshot of my account termination notice showing the phrase flagged three times
- Screenshots of the Discord conversation
After months of failed appeals due to Roblox's 6 month appeal window, I recently managed to get my case forwarded to a specialist at Roblox who is now actively investigating. I have attached a screenshot of Roblox's response confirming this.
I am sharing this as a warning to others — be very careful about joining games from people you meet on Discord. This person deliberately exploited a game mechanic to get innocent players banned.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Does anyone have any advice on how to strengthen my case further? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
