Surge trailer problems

Surge brakes have recently been making a high pitched squeak whenever it moves (whenever I brake or put it in reverse). It has never done this to me before, doesn’t seem like brakes are locked up because I can take it down the interstate with no issues. Just very loud. Any ideas?

27 year old male, I was a division 1 track athlete, now a first responder, I’ve never not been in very good shape. I eat pretty well for the most part. Resting heart rate is around mid 70’s, I feel like if I just stand up and walk it jumps up in the high 90’s. Most running workouts I’m in the 160-170 range. Just wondering If anyone had similar experiences?
