AITA for telling my cousin to take her kids toys back?
So when my LG was 6 months old my cousin asked if we wanted a little car and a swing for the garden. Her LG is now 4 so hadn’t used them in a long time. I had accepted at the time and asked what she wanted for them and she shrugged it off.
Fast forward 2 months and she asked to drop them off to me which she did. She also brought along some shoes and clothing which in her words ‘had them on Facebook marketplace for months and nobody wanted them so you can have them too’ ok great - much too big for my LG but we can put them away.
We’re now another 3 weeks later. I had a message from her yesterday saying she’d found a missing piece and wanted to drop this off. She then proceeded to tell me, almost 3 months since asking me if we wanted it and 3 weeks after dropping it off at my house, that she wants $100 for them. No mention of any money was made before then.
It annoyed me for hours so I eventually messaged her back saying that my kid wouldn’t have any use for them for another year probably and because I’m on maternity leave and getting no pay, we don’t have an extra $100 to spend on something she doesn’t need. I let her know I’d drop them back off to her to sell on again.
She’s being really funny with me now. AITA for doing this?
