So I didn’t know that red and purple life bars meant you weren’t “strong” enough or ready for bosses (berserkers for me). I was stuck for a while trying to beat >!Starolfr and Boldvar!< on GMGOW first time play thru no ng+. It was hell lmaoo one tap and I was dead at level 4 but it literally helps you learn the game and makes you practice parrying and dodging. Honestly it’d be good advice to give someone to practice on beserkers at a low level to get a hang of the game and its mechanics.
