Can you please recommend me a good skincare product for this?
Hi all. So I am new to this group but since the name suggests science backed suggestions for skin barrier improvement, I thought I might give it it a try here. So I have this deep hyperpigmentation induced post contact dermatitis to bra strap. Now it frequently flares up and down, especially during summer due to humidity and sweat. I am a busty girl so I cannot go strapless or skip the bra. I have lately started wearing silicone strap pads to minimize direct contact of the strap to the area.
I frequently moisturize but the skin hyperpigmentation doesn't seem to have faded. During flare ups i experience uneven, raised eczema with itchiness. I have contacted dermatologist for this issue and she too advised to frequently moisturize, which I do and prescribed me kojic acid for dealing with hyperpigmentation. But after a few weeks i started feeling irritated due to kojic acid so I have stopped it. My busy life has not allowed me time to revisit the dermatologist.
After doing some research, I have started using barrier repair and hyperpigmentation dealing ingredients in k beauty skincare. I use the 10 % anua azaleic acid serum and the anua niacinamide and tax serum twice daily followed by the bioderma atoderm moisturizer. The skin seems less inflamed but yet to show any changes in hyperpigmentation. I have just started using this combination a month back so I know it may take a while to show result.
Meanwhile, I have been thinking of upgrading to 20% azaleic acid cream (prescription) and also thinking of using the La Roche Posay cicaplast B5 baume as I have seen people rave about what it does to eczema prone skin, inflammation and redness.
What do you all have to say about this routine? Should I make the changes? Has anyone else had success in dealing with such issue before? Kindly help!
