Sorry for the long post, just wanted to vent out.
To begin with, I am not referring over powered supports or "low hero pool" etc. I play the characters that I like to play, usually aesthetically pleasing, whatever role that may be and as long as the playstyle fits me. For example, I cannot play tank role, to difficult so I cannot play emma, penny, etc, nor can I play the latest black cat as she does not fit my style. But mostly and recently shifted to be support main, not because it being easy role (though its not really, there is more to than just heal bot, higher elo will get it I guess).
My issue with the players, regardless of role they play is, if something is not working, blame supports. Sometimes there are valid points for not healing or flanking strat trolls etc, but in a controlled environment i did not expect that.
So referencing to control enviornment, there are some community scrims I usually play with, and all ranks can join. I usually prefer high gm, cel, eter players in queue, and do fine. Reason I like playing here is I know when I am being bare minimum and to do stuff better next time. So the recent community game, unfortunately had low gm and mostly average plats, I thought okay. Few relax games before bed now stress. These games nothing is on line.
So my team decides to go full dive, I am playing invis (my gotos for this comp were banned) with jeff as second. I am doing fine, holding my own not dying much to the opponent poke comp. issue arise when their mag is on cart, none of tank/dps is looking at him, okay dive comp i get it, then they are not even getting picks on their backline. We wiped next I hear comm that opponent Invis gona have ult, I said no, as we used mine the same time and I am only at 50. These dudes fed her ult charge so fast so quick dyam. I was not dying bymyself even when the mag was looking at me, I did only to wipe if I was unable to get back or avoid stagger. After 1st half, team calls me should switch to something different for survivability, otherwise I will get rolled. I know the problem, if I were tell them, I know it will come as "it your fault not mine" so, I speak nothing and switch to their recommended rocket.
Second half, same story and we lose. These guys are thinking support me was the problem, end stats, I had highest healing in the lobby, I had highest damage than 2 dps and my jeff. My deaths were same as all and among the low team.
Why do these guys think heal is easy role? if so why not stick that and climb easy high rank in solos? In rank I do well and climb faster as dps than strat, but chose to strat so to refine my skills under different circumstances. I lose but my point loss is too less than my gain so even slow I still climb on strat.
My frustration is, specific comp is not working, why not switch your stuff first before calling out on healer.
Or may be, is it a race thing? I am a guy, but not merican, they know that, and my voice does not hide it either. So, easier to target me and not exactly the role?
