How well do trans Asians fare alongside our cis Asian counterparts financially?

Not sure how to fully articulate this, but I’ll try. And yes, I know “Asian” alone is a broad encompassing term, I could be referring to a million different ethnic groups, but I’m still curious about this topic as a whole.

Statistically speaking, Asian Americans have the highest median household income out of any ethnic group in the US (and as diaspora in several other first world countries too). How would being trans affect this? I know it is something that can heavily disadvantage us, such as discrimination in the workplace for being both trans and Asian for example.

But given even that, Asians, trans or not, are usually financially well-off than others, generally speaking (although there are several factors that can offset this, such as many living in higher COL areas). This is primarily due to the importance placed on education and hard work, which is instilled inside me too.

But I am curious and concerned about my future and how my demographic factors alone would affect this, although I know correlation is not causation and my future is not defined by that. I’m uneducated on this topic because, well, I don’t know of many people who are both trans and part of the Asian diaspora even online, let alone in real life (I live in the Deep South lol).

Are there any studies on this? Or even just anecdotal evidence such as success stories? This is something I’ve wondered about sometimes and would like to know more about, thanks in advance.
