I've decided to start grabbing pokemon that I haven't been using before. Just to spice things up. (I'm playing platinum) Right now I've been using Graveler as a ground type.

Except that it turns out that Steelix can be found in Victory Road, and now I'm conflicted. I've always wanted a good steel/ ground type ever since I saw Aggron (yes I know it isn't), but I'm almost at the elite four and grabbing a new pokemon is probably a bad move. What's the best solution here? Has anyone done a comparison?

1. I really need more money

2. First time player, really digging into the concepts of quickhacks. I've put a lot into intelligence

3. Most enemies tend to be mid range

4. So far its all Smart weapons for me. Also trying out throwing knives.
