Hi everyone! I’m looking for some input from other hygienists on air polishers. Our office is considering investing in the EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy Airflow system, but as you all know, it’s a pretty big investment.

I’m curious if anyone has experience with other brands that perform similarly but are more cost-effective? In the past, I’ve used a Woodpecker air polisher and felt like it did a good job overall, but it didn’t have a water warmer and I noticed patients experienced more sensitivity because of that.

For those of you using alternatives to EMS:

•What brand are you using?

•How is the patient comfort (especially sensitivity)?

•Do you feel it’s comparable in effectiveness for biofilm removal?

•Any pros/cons or things you wish you knew before purchasing?
