So, I see that someone on r/rollercoasterjerk reposted the part of my last post mentioning about how a random child spanked me because he was angry at his mom. So, here’s the full story:

About a year ago, I went to Knoebels in Pennsylvania for the first time. There were insanely large lines for EVERYTHING. The only major rides that I got on were Black Diamond, Flying Turns, and the Pioneer Trains. Here’s where it gets good.

While in line for the Pioneer Trains, there was a random kid and his mother behind me. This little demon child is angry at his mom, and he decides that the rational response is to FRICKING SPANK ME. I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW THIS KID, AND HE DIDN’T KNOW ME EITHER, BUT HE DECIDES TO SPANK ME. AND ALL THE MOM DID WAS SCOLD HIM AND NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE.

Anyways, what I’m trying to say here is that a kid clapped my cheeks at Knoebels just because he was angry at his mom. I also have an incident similar to this that happened to me at Kings Island. But that’s for another time.

I currently have 105 coaster credits. How have I gotten here? Let’s reflect.

I have always had a bad case of “acrophobia” (the fear of heights). This prevents me from getting on larger roller coasters, which means they the 2 biggest coasters that I’ve been on are currently The Beast at Kings Island, and Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood. I also have the occasional nausea issues, preventing me from getting on most spinning coasters.

But, being to about 40 parks in my lifetime, I have some interesting coaster credits. Here are the standout ones:

Excalibur (Valleyfair, Minnesota): This coaster was my 71st credit, I got in the front row because I waited after a breakdown to get on. This coaster was not very long, but was indeed interesting.

Tornado & Teddy Bear (Stricker’s Grove, Ohio): My 84th and 85th credits respectively, these 2 coasters are wooden coasters located at Ohio’s Stricker’s Grove, known for only being open to the public for about 5 days a year. I was yet again in the front row on Tornado, and got on a second time in the second-to-last row. These rides made me realize that this coaster is underrated, with me flying out of my seat on multiple occasions, and almost falling out towards the end. Teddy Bear is a kiddie woodie, and having by far the most comfortable coaster train that I’ve ever been in.

Flying Turns (Knoebels, Pennsylvania): This coaster was surprisingly fun, being my 50th credit. It had intensity and felt a lot faster than 24 mph. Due to insanely long lines because of some corporate event for some company, the only other coaster I got on was Black Diamond, but I had a blast there. This is also a bit off-topic, but while in line for the Pioneer Trains, a random kid was upset at his mom, and decided to LITERALLY SLAP MY BUTT. ON PURPOSE. AND THE MOM DIDN’T EVEN TKAE HIM OUT OF THE LINE. Anyways, I still had a fun time, being my 2nd favorite park that I’ve been to. You could probably tell what my favorite is, telling by my user flair.

Tasmanian Tiger (ZooTampa, Florida): My 31st credit, this kids coaster used to be at the Tampa Zoo in Tampa, Florida. Most people would probably not stop at a zoo to a kiddie credit, and it’s gone now as of April 2026. It’s one of my 3 defunct coasters, with the others being La Vibora at SFOT and Thunderation at SDC (Soon to be defunct).

So, in a nutshell, despite having multiple things setting me back from riding larger coasters and spinning coasters, I still have fun riding coasters. (And yes, I consider Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure a credit, making it my 95th.)

TL:DR Despite having acrophobia and nausea issues, I still have fun riding coasters and have 105 credits. I have some interesting credits, and a random kid “clapped my cheeks” at the Knoebels Amusement Resort.
