I made this account to get people’s opinions because I’m really confused.
There’s this guy a year above me, and I’ve liked him for almost two years. I never expected anything, but he’s been giving me really mixed signals and it’s driving me crazy.
Last year, he would show up near my class, walk the same way as me, and I’d randomly find him in places I was at. Because of the mixed signals, I kept wondering if I was just being delusional or if something was actually going on. At some point, I told myself maybe he just likes attention and tried to move on.
Now he’s in college and only comes back during holidays, but he still goes to the same café as me (it’s basically the only study café here, so a lot of students go there). We’ve run into each other multiple times, and he still acts the same way.
For example, one time I was there with a mutual friend for about 5 hours. He only came after like 3 hours, but during those 3 hours, he went to the bathroom multiple times, so I don’t understand how he didn’t notice us while going back to his table. When he finally came, he acted surprised and said “oh I didn’t see you guys here” which made no sense your table is literally two tables away from ours.
Another time, I found him outside my private lesson. When I asked what he was doing there, he said he had a headache from studying at the café and came to say hi to the teacher.
And today was even weirder. Me and my friend were walking to school and passed near the café. I saw him heading there with a friend, and later they ended up walking behind us. I didn’t turn around, but I could hear his voice getting close and louder , then suddenly going quiet.
When we got near the café, I pretended I was going inside but didn’t actually go inside and he rushed when I got near the door.
Later, after school, we passed by the café again and stayed there for a bit. Then we left, and not long after, we saw him come out and walk in our direction(toward the school)even though he had no bag or smth then he just disappeared.
At this point, it really doesn’t feel like a coincidence anymore.
The thing is, he’s extremely dry over text and only talks about studying, but in real life he acts shy and does all this. It’s honestly driving me crazy, and I don’t know how to interpret it. I just wish he would either do something or stop.
