Slot A1/A2 on the Asus B85M-G are not working
Well, I think many of you here have encountered the issue where your computer wouldn’t boot with certain RAM slots.
I’m in pretty much the same situation.
I have two identical 4GB RAM modules from Samsung. Initially, they were in slots B1/B2 (black and yellow, located far from the socket), and quite by accident, I discovered yesterday that they were running in single-channel mode via CPU-Z. When I tried to move one of the modules to slot A, the system simply wouldn’t boot. The system unit hums, but the monitor won’t wake up, no matter what I try.
If anyone has any ideas about what this might be, please let me know.
I really hope it’s not my Intel Core i5-4570. This hardware combination worked fine on my previous Gigabyte motherboard.
