I’ve been running into the same situation repeatedly and I’m trying to understand it properly instead of reacting emotionally.

When I start talking to someone, the beginning is usually strong—frequent conversations, quick replies, clear interest. But after a couple of weeks, the consistency drops. Replies get slower, plans feel less certain, and overall effort becomes uneven.

What confuses me is how to interpret this without jumping to conclusions. I don’t want to assume loss of interest too early, but I also don’t want to ignore a pattern and stay invested when the effort is clearly decreasing.

I’ve noticed that I tend to either:

  • Give too much benefit of the doubt and wait for things to go back to how they were
  • Or become distant myself without really understanding what changed

I’m trying to approach this more rationally instead of reacting based on how I feel in the moment.

Length of relationship:
Usually early stage (2–5 weeks, talking/dating phase)

Specific Question:
What are reliable ways to differentiate between normal early-stage fluctuations in communication and a consistent drop in interest, based purely on behavior?

I recently made an eBook about rewiring your mind—basically about changing the thought patterns and habits that can hold us back without us even realizing it. It’s a topic I’ve been really interested in because the way we think affects pretty much everything in our lives. But most of us were never really taught how our minds work, or how to actually change the patterns that aren’t helping us. So I wanted to explore that in a simple, practical way. I’d really love to hear what you think—what do you find hardest about changing your mindset or breaking old habits? And if you’ve been able to do it, what helped you the most?
