Something disturbing happened while I was travelling in the railways
I(M20) travelled in a train to Hubli from Hyderabad...along with me,my friend(M20) was also with me and also my father(M60). In our compartment, there were an elderly woman and her daughter(who was probably few years elder to us)...all of us boarded in hyderabad and most of the journey went normally...Our group was playing cards having small talks...basically we were trying to pass time. And as soon as the train touched karnataka, we saw a guy(probably 35+) enter our cabin. Then at around 8:45pm we had our dinner and as my dad has a habit of sleeping early, we were sleeping by 9:30pm. I wasn't much sleepy so I was watching a movie in the middle berth. At around 11:30 I was really thirsty,so I reached down for my water bottle but the guy told me I mistook his waterbottle for mine..he gave me my water bottle and I thanked him for it while also apologising for the mistake.everything was fine until then...at around 12:15 AM, my friend patted my legs...when I looked at him, he told me that he wanted to go for a walk in the train exploring all the bogies.so I said fine...we went for a walk..from b2 to general...while going...we saw the tt going towards the direction of b2..as we went to the general coach which was really crowded...we could not further cross it...so we decided to go back
As soon as we go back we see the guy who was below mentioned in the lower berth sitting on the side car near the door with the tt next to him...they seemed to be talking but at that time I didn't recognise him as the guy below my berth... I go inside to see that some people were awake and my dad called me earlier asking where I was...so I assumed he was worried as he woke up and didn't find me...
As soon as both of us went back to the cabin,I saw my dad waiting for us..so we just went back and slept...When I was climbing to my berth I saw that the daughter of that woman was missing....I assumed maybe she was just outside...or in washroom...I was just scrolling through my phone where I observed she was not there yet...I was worried but thought it was not my business..so I texted my friend(who was in side upper) if he could see that akka(elder sister in my language)..he said that she has shifted in the lower berth below me....
I just assumed the guy had left and she shifted to lower seat..I scrolled for more time and I just slept...my dad woke both of us early in the morning at around 5:30 AM. We reached Hubli and were walking out of the station where we noticed the mother and daughter duo one more time and as I was leaving my dad told me I was really scared thinking it was you...
I was surprised...I asked my dad what he was talking about and my dad brushed me not knowing what he was talking as a joke..after asking for some time and him brushing it off he told both of us that the guy who was sleeping below me had inappropriately touched the elderly woman...and as soon as she called it out he brushed it off as a mistake and apologised...enraged the woman slapped him multiple times and called the TT. All of this happened in the gap where my friend and I were walking around the train...so it striked me then that the man sitting near the door of our cabin was none other than the man sleeping below me
I am unable to believe that the person who could do it was someone I was familiar with..I really appreciate the person for standing up for herself..
I don't know what happened to the guy....if he was kicked off or taken to the Rlw police
