Hi,

I have a Kenmore 158.17810 and it was working fine some months ago, before I stowed it away. I took it out again today, but it doesn't feed the fabric!

I'm still new to sewing, and got this machine not long ago, so pls help. :/ The feed dogs are up and grab the fabric but it looks like to me it kinda moves it back and forth in same place, instead of raising and lowering with the motion... .

So it just sews in place.

I don't have the stitch lenght to 0, I did play around with the big dials already but there aren't more settings from what I see.

I can't figure out how to construct that tunic neckline!

From This Tutorial, tho it seems to me that the facing would still have a raw edge. I think for the facing fabric I'll use Linen, but it frays a lot, even if it's inside the garment. So what do I do with it? The rest of my tunic is wool and kinda thick imo already, not sure I want the double layer of wool there?

I can't figure out how to construct historical keyhole necklines!

Looking at This Tutorial, it seems to me that the facing would still have a raw edge. What do I do with it? Tucking it under so the wider top stitch catches it? My fabric is Wool, so it's kinda thick already, I'll use Linen for the facing fabric I think. But linen frays a lot, even if it's inside the garment.

The facing could be maybe also exposed (e.g. in a different color like in second image), tho it looks like they were out of wool. I haven't decided if I want to highlight the neck yet or not.
Youtube is stilla kinda unclear to me.
