So I recently bought the game and have been experiencing a really common issue.

My game will freeze, but still run as things like music will still play, and the only way to progress the game is to spam the Windows key which progresses the game frame by frame. And it's really inconsistent, where it sometimes just decides not to happen and I can play normally.

And it's not an issue of my computer being bad. When the issue isnt there and I can play, the game runs perfectly fine and I can play. Infact problem with lag and frame rate only start to show on the highest settings.

Any tips or things I can do to fix this are appreciated. I'm really confused as to why this happens as it's so inconsistent and never works the same as it does the last time.

Playing through New Vegas for the first time ~~loving it btw but thats besides the point~~ and dismissed ED-E to the Lucky 38 to do Cass' quest. But as I went back to grab him once I was done, he was nowhere to be seen. All my other companions save for Lily who's still at Jacobstown were there. Ive tried using the dismissal console, tried waiting around Primm for like 6 in game days, but nothing.

Any help is appreciated, I really want ED-E back, he's in a three way tie for my favorite character in the series next to Raul and Ulysses so I'd be so upset if theres no way to get him back.
