hey peeps just bought acer ek240 p6 144hz, good monitor at great deal.

the issue is I am unable to get beyond 120hz on the monitor even though the monitor supports 144hz.

ubuntu, win11, same situation. tried the inbox hdmi cable as well as another spare old hdmi cable I had laying around.

Im thinking of trying on a different pc/gaming laptop perhaps because mine is an asus consumer grade laptop (asus Vivobook 15 X1502ZA i5 12500h) with only internal gpu iris xe?

if you went through a similar issue, let me know.
