Im searching for this reel I saw last year it mustve had about 50k plays at the time so its definitely not obscure. The video was of a semi-abandoned messy hair stylists storage room that had tons of stuff all of the place , mostly 80s and 90s hair equipment / tools , there was a chill funky lofi track playing in the background. I recall it being almost like a liminal space but deeply comforting.

it was a real video taken with a phone , not AI or 3D. that I recall clearly.

the song used on the reel sounded like something straight out of a Nintendo DS game , very cutesy . Funky synth , sort of bitcrushed , up-tempo

2nd ETA: found the reel (it was in my collection of saved reels)

Sometimes ill be shopping around at a store like Jcpenny's or Macy's and ill hear something that immediately clicks in my brain as a workable sample , most of the time these tracks are usually under the radar and relatively new ; Ill shazam it , wait eagarly til Im able to get back home and flip it .

Honestly the process feels just as rewarding as crate digging to me . Was just wondering if any other producers did this too?
