If you had to pick one Final Fantasy as your favorite, which one would it be and why?

If you had to pick one Final Fantasy as your favorite, which one would it be and why?

Final Fantasy V is my favorite! It was my first introduction to the series which gives it a lot of nostalgia points. I still remember playing it for the first time and just wanting to keep playing to see what would happen next.

The job system is another big part of why I liked it so much. Being able to switch classes and mix abilities made the game so replayable and fun. It never felt locked in or boring because I could always try something different and figure out new combinations that worked better.

I also liked that it didn’t really feature romance like some other Final Fantasy games. Instead, it leaned more into the adventure and the party working together to get through stuff. It made it feel unique to me.

Very improbable, but I would love a full-on remake someday.

What’s your favorite JRPG series of all time, and why is it your favorite?

My absolute favorite JRPG series of all time is The Legend of Heroes. What makes it special for me is how the world feels real and keeps evolving over years and across multiple games. You start in a small region and think it's just another fantasy adventure, but every new entry adds more and more and reveals this massive interconnected continent where politics, history, and personal stories all connect together. Side characters you barely noticed early on can show up later with their own arcs that actually pay off in huge ways. Very immersive, I love it!

One moment for me is the Red fight at the end of Pokémon Gold/Silver. It’s not a normal final boss fight, it feels like you’re fighting a past version of yourself. No dialogue, no buildup, just an unexpected end to your journey on top of Mt. Silver. Then the realization hits you that the “legendary trainer” you’ve been hearing about is basically the embodiment of everything you’ve been working toward in the past.

I think it hits harder because there were no guides back then, so the moment completely catches you off guard.

Mine is Set 3. I was a mech abuser and I have no regrets. There was something special about watching a giant robotic Garen run through and delete entire enemy boards. Looking back it was most definitely busted but it was the most fun I had playing this game.

Mine is easily Dimitri. I like how he starts off as this perfect honorable prince and then completely breaks and goes on a spree of revenge. What makes him #1 for me is how rare it is in Fire Emblem to see a lord fully lose himself like that and still remain compelling the entire time.

I put together a simple grid of my movie taste across different genres/moods.

Roast my taste as harshly as you want in the comments. No mercy.

If the entire anime world got wiped except for 3 series you choose, which ones are you saving?

This is what I would choose to keep:

Code Geass: My favorite series. Peak storytelling, strategy, and ending.
Fate: Awesome lore, insane fights, different adaptations give variety (Stay Night, Zero, etc.)
Dragon Ball: Grew up on it. Pure nostalgia + iconic action scenes. Easy rewatch value.

Interested to hear everyone else's takes!
