What are some good nicknames for my trans friend?
My best friend is transfem and recently changed her name. its a beautiful name but i have no idea what nicknames to use. i am enby, but i kept my birth name so i never went through this. my bff has oked the use of nicknames so long as they arent cringe and/or stupid. unfortunately i am both cringe and stupid. this is something really important to me as i view nicknames as a signifier of close friendship. i still have the option of situational nicknames, however those are spontaneous and also tend to be cringe therefore running into the “nickname rule”. the name she chose is Petra. fucking Petra. how am i supposed to get a nickname from this. Petra thinks this is funny and is enjoying my suffering. right now we have petrichor (like from the rain) as an option and petroleum has been vetoed. Please help.
