I just recently learned about POTS, MCAS, hEDS, ADHD/autism, asthma and allergies, digestive issues and PCOS etc. being linked.
I'm now wondering whether treating PCOS with hormonal medication could potentially help POTS and other syndromes' symptoms. Does anyone have personal experience on this?
These are my symptoms, if anyone's interested:
- Heart rate at its worst goes from 60 -> 120 when standing up from laying down or sitting for a long period
- Vision goes black and vertigo when getting up
- Hyperhidrosis
- Hot flashes
- Exercise intolerance (fatigue, muscle weakness and trembeling quickly, vision goes black, vertigo)
- Headaches after going for a walk, they usually last the whole day and sometimes I feel like I'm getting sick
- Chronic mild sinusitis
- Rashes in random areas that don't heal no matter what
- Itching especially at night
- Orthostatic hypotension
- Dry skin despite using different kinds of creams for years
- Low blood pressure (can't use Propranolol because of this, also resting pulse at night is 45 at it's very lowest, rarely though)
- Chronically dry mouth and eyes, even though I eat well, use omega, eyedrops, warm compress and I drink enough and use salt
- Constant bloating in the stomach that is propably from hormonal imbalance, sometimes gets better for a few days (doesn't seem to matter how I eat)
- Mood changes
- PMDD
- Bad quality of sleep (Can't fall asleep without meds and I wake up multiple times)
- Mild VSS (visual snow syndrome)
- Asthma and allergies
- Fatigue
I have had blood tests done. My b12, folate, ferritin/hemoglobin, liver, kidneys, thyroids, blood sugar, potassium and sodium were fine. I have gotten EKG done multiple times and everytime they say ''You had some mild arrhytmia, which is very common''. I also use vitamin D, C, multivitamin, zinc, iron (I've had deficiency), magnesium glycinate, inositol and antihistamines.
