Wife wasnt happy.
My new td516 was making a lot of slapping noise with the base pedal. Sound was super annoying. Even two floors up, very noticable.

Made myself a “tennisball” platform

4x mdf 18mm 1200x600mm
6 holes each 50mm, 10cm from the edge
Some connecting plates to make it a solid platform
Some dampening (rebond) foam between floor and platform.

And a smaller version for my throne.
4 holes big

Cherry on the pie, was the replacing of the beater. Bought a ball beater. Much less sound.
