Hey peeps, have to settle this with me mam, she said she remembers we a year or so ago we had little mini watermelon in a little cardboard box and I was like no I have never seen them. Anyone recall them?
Thinking about getting a TentBox / rooftop tent in Ireland for summer camping trips and had a few newbie questions 😅
I like the idea of being able to stop at campsites or parking spots and just sleep there without setting up a full tent every time.
My main worries are:
Is there any real risk of the rooftop tent coming loose, getting damaged by wind, or somehow flying off while driving? I know it probably sounds dramatic but it genuinely worries me.
How much does it affect driving?
- Is the wind noise bad?
- Does fuel efficiency drop a lot?
- Does the car feel unstable?
- And biggest one… does it make entering normal car parks a nightmare because of height?
Would love honest experiences from people in Ireland/Uk especially since weather and roads here are a bit different.
Also if anyone regrets buying one, I’d honestly love to hear that too before spending the money 😂
