I have a question and really need your advice!
I’m 22, female, and have a lot of (deep) scarring from years of severe acne, which I unfortunately developed very early (around age 10, likely genetic). Don’t worry, it’s not unbearable to look at, but the skin texture is obviously uneven and not something you can really hide with makeup.
I’ve received a few comments from people asking about the “holes” in my skin, which made me realize that others do notice it too. I also want to mention that I don’t have any active acne anymore, not a single pimple in fact. These are just leftover scars.
Even back when I had active acne, I always thought about getting laser treatment in the future to fix the scarring. However, I’m wondering if newer and more advanced treatments for acne scars have been developed since then.
Does anyone here have experience with that, and would you recommend it?
Also, what treatments would you suggest no that have long-lasting results? Cost is not an issue for me at all. I’m willing to invest whatever it takes.
