I’m a 27F and I’ve never really been in a serious relationship, just a few flings here and there.
Over the past few months, one of my regular customers at work started showing interest in me. I usually brush that kind of thing off, but this time I decided to give it a chance. We’ve been talking for about a week now, gone on a couple of dates, and he calls and checks on me multiple times a day.
He’s 44 and has kids who are around 30 years old, which is the main thing that gives me pause. When he checks on me throughout the day it doesn’t feel overwhelming at all, I actually really like it and enjoy hearing from him. He’s been very kind and respectful, and whenever I’ve said something feels too soon, like talking about making things exclusive, he takes a step back and respects that boundary.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with him, but since I don’t have much relationship experience, I’m not sure if I’m reading everything right or just getting caught up in the excitement.
Are there any red flags I might be missing? And is it normal to start developing feelings this quickly?
(Edit: yes his age is correct he had kids very at a very young age due to an abuse situation)
