Have seen a lot of posts on here about where to get good groceries, Whole Foods coming in, etc...thought I would share that Ridgewood has a food co-op now (not a CSA, but rather something more akin to a grocery shopping experience) for those wanting good groceries at better prices that also support something good for our local communities/economies/farmers!
It's not an official coop yet (working on it- this part is a months long process!) but has been running for about a year as a buyers club of sorts with two weekly pickup days. You place your order, then come pick it up on one of those two days. Volunteering suggested but not yet required!
Run by a mix of longtime and lifelong community members (with lots of new Ridgewood residents also participating and being attracted!)- so that's to say, all are welcome.
