Can i sponsor my mom?

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the Canadian Super Visa.

I am a Canadian PR holder, but I have never worked or lived in Canada as I was working in the US only on work visa here. My husband is a Canadian citizen and worked in Canada for about 3–4 years. He is currently working in the U.S. on a TN visa.

At the moment, both of us have W-2 income in the U.S., but we may move back to Canada in the next few months. In the meantime, I would like to apply for a Super Visa for my mother, who is currently overseas.

Can I apply for her Super Visa now while we are still living and working in the U.S., or is there a high chance it could be refused because we are not currently residing in Canada?

We will be moving to Canada in few months though so what should we do.

I would really appreciate any advice or experiences from people who have been in a similar situation.

Thank you!

I’m curious about others’ experiences in the tech hiring process. Have you ever completed all interview rounds (including final/onsite) and then been ghosted with no response? If so, which companies were involved? Also, how common do you think this is across big tech vs startups?
