So my boyfriend and I bought glasses from an optic shop we frequent in Indonesia, they sent it through UPS using their International express service. Yesterday it already passed customs scan/checkpoint and was on the way to us but then in the afternoon the status changed and said that the package was given to a non-UPS broker and is being held by them. But the problem is, UPS refused to elaborate who the broker was at first but after a few attempts they gave the broker’s name which is UNSPED but they refused any form of solution I gave like just paying the import tax etc etc so I could get my package and finally see properly but they kept pushing for a “power of attorney” solution that they have. Apparently we’re not the only ones who’ve experienced how horrible Turkey’s cargo company and customs services are. Any suggestions on how to approach this for a brief conclusion? I just really need those prescription glasses.
