Urgent: Dog Blood Donor Needed
We are urgently looking for healthy dog blood donors for a transfusion at Tata Small Animals Hospital, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.
Our boy, Shuji, a 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel, is suffering from kidney shutdown and may need a blood transfusion to survive. It is planned on Tuesday, 28 April.
Requirements:
• Fully vaccinated. Records required.
• No history of tick fever in the last two to three years.
• Large breed. Ideally 25 kg or more.
• Generally healthy.
Blood typing and cross-matching will be done by the best of the best veterinarian.
Very small amount of blood is taken. There is no concept of blood groups in dogs there is a small compatibility test. Also, there are no known blood banks for canine blood.
There is absolutely no harm to your dog, we will make all the arrangements for top notch logistics and any compensation needed.
