I’m an international student applying for the Master's Degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (Classe LM-18) at the University of Palermo for the 2026/2027 academic year.
I submitted my application over a month and a half ago, on March 14th. My portal status is still stuck on "In attesa di validazione | Waiting for validation". The portal notes that foreign students need this approval to get the Admission Letter, so the wait is starting to make me a bit anxious regarding visa timelines.
I just followed up via email with the coordinator and the department a couple of days ago (though I realized it was during the May 1st holiday/weekend, so I don't expect an immediate reply to that just yet).
Is anyone else applying to UniPa (or this specific program) experiencing similar delays this year? Does anyone know how long they typically take to validate international applications?
Any insights would be really appreciated. Thanks!
