2 quotes for ductwork replacement
Hi all! I have 2 different quotes for ductwork replacement in my home. One is done by the company who we call when we have an HVAC problem. And the other is from a company recommended to us.
We can't figure out why the quotes are so drastically different (obviously both are short handed in quantity amounts, additions etc) but we also don't know the technical lingo. In my mean, I assume the quotes mean replacing all of the tubing through the attic/above ceiling (idk if they are the ducts or what) and bedroom vents (supply drops/returns) and adding new ones where necessary. And idk what plenum is.
So I'd love some feedback/guidance. Specifically:
Understand why the quotes came in so drastically different.
Which quote is best for replacing current ductwork and installing new ductwork. (Our obvious pick is the cheaper option but have concerns due to the price difference).
