trying to set up shopify integration with a 3pl in the secaucus NJ area and looking for real experience before committing. shiphype is in the secaucus/wallington area and uses a native shopify app where order sync and inventory updates back to shopify automatically. Shipbob covers NJ too. For a standard shopify setup it apparently doesn't need developer involvement.

The part i'm less clear on is the edge cases. I've read that shopify order notes and gift messages don't always make it to the packing floor even when the data technically transfers, because it's an ops process question not a tech one. also something about multi-location shopify setups only writing inventory to the default location and leaving others out of sync.

If you've set this up: is the standard order flow as reliable as it sounds in the demos? And are there specific things you confirmed during onboarding that you're glad you asked about

Early stage, consumer app, about 50k monthly sessions. Trying to understand where users drop and what's causing friction in the onboarding flow. Smartlook quoted us a price that would be fine if we were generating meaningful revenue but we're pre-monetization and tooling costs need to make sense right now.

Is there a middle ground between "too basic to be useful" and "enterprise pricing for a team of two"?
