Tooth #19 had a cavity at the gum line that was bothering me a lot, I'm constantly using interdental brushes to clean in there. I can feel the brush going inside of the tooth, and when it hits a certain spot there's a shooting pain. I finally went to the dentist to have it taken care of, and when he looked at the X-ray (I didn't ask for a copy of it) he said tooth #18 looked even worse than #19, and he would only do the filling if he did both teeth.

I never experienced any pain in #18, but I just wanted it done with so I agreed. It's been a couple of weeks since then, and I'm pretty much constantly in pain unless I take several Ibuprofen. I used an interdental brush today...and it feels almost exactly the same. I don't think he drilled deep enough to get to the cavity that was bothering me. I imagine with the cavity being so close to the gums, and in between teeth it's not the easiest to work on, but would it be right to ask them to redo it free of charge?
