I hadnt realised the keyboard wasn't back-lit, and although it seems like something small, that is a necessity for me due to vision etc...
So, the concensus im getting is go for a macbook air m4 16gb - can someone just clear up for me what the 10-core CPU - 8 CORE GPU vs 10CORE VS 10CORE and if theres a preference there?

Ive been looking at replacing my 2012 macbook pro because shes an old gal now and it takes about 30minutes to open a webpage, and made a terrifying grinding noise the other day so think shes had her time.
I was looking at back market at an m1 / m2 or m3 but I do have a budget and ideally want to spend less than a grand really .... then I remembered the Neo has been released and obviously they're under a grand brand new.
Can people who are clued up on tech specs please tell me if they're worth it?! I just have no idea where to begin with laptops anymore, I wouldnt even know where to begin should I not shop Apple.
I will be mostly using it for daily tasks like accounting etc, nothing too special, but I do have an iPhone for work and an iPad so Apple just makes a bit more sense (main phone is a Samsung however)
Basically, yeah if someone could help me with where to begin id really appreciate it!
