Hey, Hi, Hello,

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I am not really the type to make a post on reddit but I'm desperate for any type of help or advice to keep my job during these crazy times🙏🏻

I work from home as a Benefits Verification Rep 1 and I've been here for about 7 months now. I have worked in call centers for a long time, so I was excited to transition to something less customer service based and more investigative based, and I really like that part of my job. I am used to being on a WFH team so it's no surprise to me that most everyone on my team basically keeps to themselves, it's not a problem but it makes it hard to reach out for advice sometimes 😅

Now don't get me wrong, I have spoken with a couple of people from my original training class and I have done a shadow with a teammate. I have done my best to get help directly from my boss but it just really hasn't worked out. She has only worked for the company for a couple months more than me, so her advice can be very contradictory at times. I am trying hard to implement her feedback but I am still struggling to meet the required metrics without allowing it to affect the quality of my work. I know I can be pretty rigid when it comes to quality but I refuse to cut corners for metrics when we are handling specialty medications. I am in no way saying that is what they are asking of us but they have recently increased our primary metrics to over double what it is currently and I just can't understand how we can possibly meet that and still provide quality work.

I'm not trying to get out of it, or cheat the system, I just want to keep my job. I like my job a lot but I'm not willing to sacrifice the quality of my work for an increase in metrics they can't even give me a why for.

So this is where you guys come in. If you work for CVS Specialty Pharmacy in the benefits verification department please help me understand what I need to do to meet these metrics or what the disconnect is with my brain and what they are asking of us. I am open to any tips, tricks, opinions, or alt perspectives that will help me improve so I can keep my job.

Thank you all in advance 💜

TL;DR: If you work for CVS specialty pharmacy in the benefits verification (BV) department please give me advice to help me meet my metrics and keep this job, thank you.
