I have just posted a detailed 9-tweet evidence thread exposing what I call “Digital Homicide” - the permanent erasure of my entire digital identity scheduled for August 2026.

The situation in short:

On 18 August 2024 my phone was stolen. It was the only device with active logins to my three primary Google accounts. Despite submitting FIR, CEIR report, IMEI, ownership affidavits, and exhaustive proof, Google has refused manual recovery for 1.5+ years and trapped me in an endless automated loop. Now Google’s 2-year inactive account policy will delete irreplaceable academic records, financial history, and years of personal data. I have exhausted every channel:

• 10+ formal Google support cases

• 12+ Community posts (met with sarcasm)

• GAC Appeal 6416/2026 (stagnant for 56 days)

• CPGRAMS, RTI, and even direct emails to CERT-In & MeitY (complete silence for 10 months) The DPDP Act exists on paper, but ground reality is completely different.

This is not just my story — this can happen to any of us tomorrow.

If Big Tech and the grievance system can simply ignore Indian citizens while all laws remain on paper, none of us are safe. The thread is now live.

I need your help to create enough noise so the authorities and Google cannot ignore it anymore.

Please do this right now:

  1. Open the thread and Like it
  2. Leave a genuine Comment (even one line helps)
  3. Share
  4. Retweet / Quote-tweet it
  5. Tag anyone you think should see it

Every single engagement counts.
Your one action can force accountability and wake up the system.

I will personally reply to every genuine comment. Let’s not wait for the system to fail us too.

Raise your voice today.
Thank you — your support truly matters.

(please.. help me i'll be eternally grateful to each one of you)

Digital Homicide in Progress: Google is erasing my entire identity in Aug 2026 while GAC sits silent for 50+ days.

In August 2026, my academic records (those which are irrecoverable by any other modes), years of digital data and financial records will be permanently deleted by Google. This is not a locked account — this is the execution of my digital life.

I lost my phone on 18 August 2024, since then i have been unable to recover my 3 google accounts... but couldn't get it recovered till now.

I am a verified victim of identity theft.

Yet after two full years of desperate appeals, I am facing complete erasure because Google refuses basic human help.

1. Google’s Algorithmic Indifference & Toxic Support

Every support ticket ends in the same endless bot loop: “Visit https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2/usernamerecovery?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=ServiceLogin” — a tool that requires the stolen phone.

Even on Google’s public Community forums, “Product Experts” responded with sarcasm. One moderator compared my identity theft crisis to hospital triage and wrote:

“Meh… 2 hours… it’s close enough.” ("Thread Link")

This is how a trillion-dollar company treats a student fighting to save their entire future.

2. GAC Stagnation — 50+ Days of Complete Inaction

I escalated to the Ministry of Electronics & IT’s Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) in mid-March 2026.

The law requires sensitive grievances to be resolved in 7–30 days.

Reality? The portal has shown “Under Process” for over 50 days with zero communication. (ScreenShot Attached)

The government’s own redressal mechanism is now actively enabling Google’s default.

3. DPDP Act 2023 & Nov 2025 Rules — Still Being Ignored

Google is a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

The DPDP Rules notified on 14 November 2025 were meant to end exactly this kind of corporate negligence.

Refusing manual recovery during an active identity-theft dispute is a clear “Data Default” — punishable by penalties up to ₹250 crore.

Six months later, nothing has moved.

I have now exhausted all administrative channels and will post the complete evidence thread on X this Tuesday (tomorrow).

Genuine Ask (Legal & Tech Community)

  • Has anyone faced similar Google recovery denial after identity theft?
  • Lawyers: Is a Writ of Mandamus under Article 226 the next realistic step to force GAC action or get an ex-parte stay on deletion?
  • Has the Data Protection Board started taking up individual complaints under the 2025 Rules?
  • I have every receipt ready and will reply to every serious comment.

I have every receipt ready and will reply to every serious comment.

This affects every Indian Gmail user if Big Tech can simply ignore Indian law while the grievance system sleeps.

Don’t let them delete a human's digital life because it’s “easier” than providing support.

Digital Homicide in Progress: Google’s Refusal of Manual Recovery & GAC’s 50+ Day Inaction Appear to Violate DPDP Act 2023.

In August 2026, my high-school academic records (irrecoverable by any other means), years of crucial personal and financial data face permanent deletion by Google. This is not a mere account lock — it is the effective erasure of my digital identity following identity theft.

Despite two years of repeated formal requests — supported by the theft FIR, CIER device-blocking requests, and a detailed ownership affidavit — Google has provided no human review. All support is limited to the automated loop requiring the stolen device, with many tickets simply marked “duplicate” and no confirmation of status.

1. Google’s Conduct – Apparent Breach of Obligations as Data Fiduciary

Every support request receives only the standard automated reply directing users to https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2/usernamerecovery.
Even in Google’s public Community forums, “Product Experts” responded with sarcasm. One moderator compared the crisis to hospital triage:

Meh… 2 hours… it’s close enough.
("Link to thread")

This pattern raises serious concerns about Google’s willingness and ability to comply with its obligations as a Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act 2023.

2. GAC Stagnation – Apparent Violation of Statutory Timelines

The grievance was escalated to the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) in mid-March 2026.
Under the IT Rules (as amended), sensitive grievances must be disposed of within 7–30 days.
The portal has remained “Under Process” for over 50 days with zero communication (screenshot attached).
This administrative delay appears to facilitate Google’s default.

3. DPDP Act 2023 & DPDP Rules 2025 – Apparent “Data Default”

Google is a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
The DPDP Rules notified on 14 November 2025 were intended to strengthen enforcement of fiduciary obligations, including effective redressal (Sections 8 & 11).

Refusal of manual intervention during an active identity-theft dispute appears to constitute a “Data Default” punishable by penalties up to ₹250 crore.

I have exhausted all available administrative remedies and will post the complete documentary evidence thread on X this Tuesday.

Request for Guidance from the Legal Community

  • Has anyone encountered similar refusal of manual account recovery by Google post-identity theft?
  • Is a Writ Petition under Article 226 seeking Mandamus (to compel GAC adjudication) or an ex-parte interim stay on deletion a viable next step?
  • Has the Data Protection Board of India begun entertaining individual complaints under the 2025 Rules?

I have all supporting documents ready and will reply to every genuine legal or procedural comment.

Any informed guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Digital Homicide in Progress: Google’s Refusal of Manual Recovery & GAC’s 50+ Day Inaction Appear to Violate DPDP Act 2023.

In August 2026, my academic records (achievements of my high school years... which are not recoverable by any other modes), years of my personal/crucial digital data and financial records face permanent deletion by Google. This is not a mere account lock — it is the effective erasure of my digital identity following identity theft.I am a verified victim of identity theft.

Despite two years of repeated formal requests (with theft fir, cier device blocking requests, a well curated draft with the conents on my account listed in it, willingfulness to undergo legal lenses to prove my ownership over those google accounts) for manual assistance, Google has provided no human review (not even a reply... they just raised tickets (the automated case ids you get after you mail to their support mail... even though they clearly state our legal team will contact you if any legal filing is recieved with the mail... nor they ever tell if the ticket is still active or it's been closed... no place to verify it), trapping me in an automated recovery loop that requires the stolen device.

1. Google’s Conduct – Apparent Breach of Obligations as Data Fiduciary

Every support request has been met with the standard automated response directing me to “https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2/usernamerecovery?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=ServiceLogin”.
While, some of them just got marked as duplicate straightforward.

Even in Google’s public Community forums, responses from “Product Experts” have included dismissive and sarcastic remarks, one moderator comparing the situation to hospital triage with the comment:

“Meh… 2 hours… it’s close enough.” ("https://support.google.com/accounts/thread/410516635?hl=en")

This pattern raises serious concerns about Google’s ability and willingness to comply with its obligations as a Data Fiduciary.

2. GAC Stagnation – Apparent Violation of Statutory Timelines

The matter was escalated to the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) in mid-March 2026.
Under the IT Rules (as amended), sensitive grievances are required to be disposed of within 7–30 days.
The portal has remained stuck at “Under Process” for over 50 days with no communication. This administrative delay appears to be facilitating Google’s default (screenshot attached).

3. DPDP Act 2023 & DPDP Rules 2025 – Apparent “Data Default”

Google qualifies as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

The DPDP Rules notified on 14 November 2025 were intended to strengthen enforcement of fiduciary obligations, including the duty to provide effective redressal mechanisms (Sections 8 & 11).

Refusal to offer manual intervention during an active identity-theft dispute appears to constitute a “Data Default” punishable by penalties up to ₹250 crore.

I have exhausted all available administrative remedies and will be posting the complete documentary evidence thread on X this Tuesday.

Request for Guidance from the Legal Community

  • Has anyone encountered similar refusal of manual account recovery by Google post-identity theft?
  • Is filing a Writ Petition under Article 226 for a Writ of Mandamus (to compel GAC adjudication) or an ex-parte interim stay on deletion a viable next step?
  • Has the Data Protection Board of India begun entertaining individual complaints under the 2025 Rules in similar cases?

I have all supporting documents ready and will respond to every genuine legal or procedural comment.

This issue potentially affects every Indian citizen using Google services if statutory safeguards remain unenforced.
