Hi all! Looking for help picking some trees that would work well for my yard.

I have a long narrow strip along a busy road with no shade at all. Right now the strip is half grass and half dirt. It’s about 40 feet long and 5 feet wide (fence to pavers) at its narrowest.

I’m hoping to get something that can extend past the height of the fence to give a little more privacy. And I’m also hoping to get some more shade.

The little bit of shade I do get is from a massive tree of heaven. I would love to tear it down, but I’d really like to get something else started before doing that. I don’t mind spending a bit more money to get something a little more mature.
