PSA for Bangalore pet owners: Supertails Banashankari nearly killed my dog. Sharing the full story so this doesn’t happen to yours.

Posting this because I want other pet owners here to know what we went through. Long post, but every piece matters.

My dog has been a patient at Supertails Banashankari for a while. Over the last few weeks, a chain of failures at this branch nearly cost him his life.

**1. Initial misdiagnosis.** They told me his symptoms were a stomach issue, nothing to do with the vestibular issue. They were wrong. The real cause went untreated and symptoms kept getting worse.

**2. Botched wound follow-up.** He had a wound that was dressed at the clinic. The doctor asked me to send a follow-up photo. I sent it. I called and messaged multiple times to confirm she had seen it. The staff never actually showed it to her. A full week was lost before someone finally told me to come back in.

**3. In-home vet missed the wound entirely.** By this point I was worried about response time, so I booked an in-home consult, also through Supertails. Heads up: almost every in-home vet on their roster has under a year of experience. The vet who came (Dr. R from the Koramangala branch) supposedly cleaned the wound. When my regular vet examined it later, he was shocked. Not actually cleaned, dust particles still there. I have voice notes from him on record describing the state of it.

**4. The emergency. This is the part that still messes with me.** Thursday around 9 PM. My dog couldn't walk. He had nystagmus (eyes rolling involuntarily), losing balance, panting heavily. Classic neurological emergency.

I called Supertails Banashankari before driving over and asked them point blank: are diagnostics available right now? They said yes. I drove 30 minutes. On the way they messaged me that this counted as a night consultation and would cost ₹500 extra. Fine.

I get there. No diagnostics available. No CBC. No real plan. They had told me yes on the phone so I wouldn't go elsewhere.

I left and drove straight to Cessna. The Cessna doctors were genuinely appalled at how this had been handled up to that point.

**5. They delete negative reviews.** After all this I left a negative review. Instead of responding to any of it, they took it down. Look at their Google page carefully. Multiple negative reviews are missing. Three reviewers have also mentioned the same and they had said they lost their cats to misdiagnosis at this branch. Those are gone too. There is a clear pattern.

**The bigger picture.** With one exception, no vet at this branch has more than one or two years of experience. The in-home roster is worse. If that one senior doctor happens to be on shift, care is fine. If not, it is chaos. It functions as a grooming center impersonating a veterinary clinic.

**TL;DR:** Supertails Banashankari misdiagnosed my dog, botched wound care twice, lied about diagnostics availability during a real emergency, and quietly deletes negative reviews. Cessna saved him. If you are in Bangalore, please do not take your pet here. Happy to share voice notes and screenshots with anyone who wants to verify any part of this.
