I wasn’t even planning to write this review. But after seeing some of the recent comments & posts from a specific user who is trying to damage my new best Hermes seller, I felt like I had to say something.
I’ve come across multiple claims that don’t line up with reality, along with what looks like manipulated pictures and misleading comparisons. That kind of stuff doesn’t help anyone, it just creates confusion and pushes a false narrative.
I’m speaking up simply as a satisfied customer. I’ve had a good experience with Jim, and when I see questionable tactics being used to discredit him, it doesn’t sit right. That’s the only reason I’m writing this.
I recently received my bag from Jim, and the quality speaks for itself. Easily the best mirror-tier pieces I’ve seen. The leather on this Birkin 25 Blue Tie in Togo with PHW feels rich and structured, with the right grain and firmness you’d expect. It holds its shape beautifully while still having that slight softness that gives it a premium feel in hand.
The stitching is clean and consistent throughout, no loose threads or uneven lines. The edges are neatly finished, and the glazing looks precise. Hardware has a solid weight to it, with a smooth finish that doesn’t feel cheap or overly shiny. The color is also very well done, deep and even, with no patchiness or fading.
The proportions, structure, and details all come together in a way that’s hard to fault unless you’re actively trying to pick it apart under extreme scrutiny, in which case most auth bags would also fail this kind of QC.
I also know multiple people who’ve ordered from Jim, and the feedback has been consistently positive, which makes the recent situation even more questionable.
Out of nowhere, a new sub pops up along with a new user u/hartofalyon who supposedly has an 11-year-old account, yet there’s no real history and the profile is hidden and running his own sub r/RepHermesQC, which only has 27 weekly visits. And somehow, all of their energy is focused on one thing: going after Jim. Not general reviews, not balanced comparisons, just repeated attempts to discredit him.
What makes it even more obvious is how other sellers are mentioned. They get light, surface-level criticism, just enough to make things look “fair,” while Jim is singled out over and over again. That’s not how genuine reviews usually work. That’s how targeted narratives are built.
Let’s be real, when someone shows up out of nowhere, hides their background, and pushes the same agenda repeatedly, it doesn’t look like honest feedback. It looks like someone trying very hard to damage a specific seller’s reputation, which is clearly proven what’s going on here.
Everyone is free to form their own opinion, but based on real experiences and what’s clearly visible, this doesn’t feel organic at all.
Just putting this out there so people can look at the situation more critically instead of taking everything at face value, especially the more inexperienced H buyers which may be fooled by this biased and malicious feedback.
