What’s up with the secret admin abuse? I’ve been doing the scheduled admin abuse on Saturdays for a while now. The time starts and the list of thing that happens during admin abuse in the top right checks and 15 minutes later it’s over. It’s honestly pretty lame and I usually just use it as time to stack potions for better luck and to get the admin abuse eggs from the track.

Well today I decided to stay in the game for a bit and a second admin abuse started with admin chatting and I was given tons of eggs, food, treasures, potions. It lasted for a long time. Has this been happening every week and I’ve just missed it? Where do I find out when that happens again?

*not my picture but very close to the type of stuff I’m dealing with lol

Im not sure if its a cultural difference but growing up birthdays were kind of like a yes day. Birthday kid gets to choose what they want for dinner and what kind of cake. Obviously within a budget. It was also a special treat to be served the piece of cake with your name on it.

I have 2 kids 10 and 4, both boys. And my husband is the youngest of 6 sisters. One of them insists that she buy the cakes for my husband and for my kids. She honestly seems shocked and offended when I buy it. She will wait until about 3 days before the birthday and say “did you already get a cake?”. Most times the answer is yes if the kids wanted a themed cake I had to order in advance, but other times when they just want a certain flavor or cupcakes or donuts instead or whatever I get it the day before or day of. If I tell her no, I haven’t ordered she will say “good, I got it”. And ask nothing else. One year she got my oldest an atomic cake. Awesome, those cakes are delicious. But my son doesn’t really like bananas or cakes with fruit filling. He was totally grateful and did eat the cake, but it wasn’t something he would have chosen for himself. Some years when they ask for a theme and I tell her that I will order the cake because they want a character she will insist she can still get it. But she gets it from somewhere where it was obviously home made by a newer baker because it looks derpy and they’ve spelled his name wrong twice.

This year he asked me for a chocolate cake with blue gamer decorations. Is he getting that? No,probably not. But I did get chocolate cupcakes with blue frosting and gamer toppers for him to take to school.

I’ve been to a lot of birthdays and I have never once offered or insisted to buy the birthday cake 😅. I thought that was something handled by the person throwing the party or the parents of the birthday kid.

Im glad my kids are pretty go with the flow and happy with whatever but sometimes I wonder if maybe this is teaching them to be like me, a people pleaser. I don’t want him to think I heard what he asked for and intentionally got something else and he should just be happy with that.
