S&W 642 or 642 Performance
A question for those who have either the 642 standard or the performance version. The standard sells for $569 MSRP and the Performance sells for
$669 MSRP. Is it better to buy the standard and upgrade it or is it better to spend the extra and by the PC? I reside in CA and we have a standard tax of 7.25% and additional firearms tax of 11% on top of that. With a background check fee of $5.
Standard 642: $644.63
PC 642: $744.63
