First time doing Epic Universe, and my word it needs waaaaay more shade. 90 degree day and feeling it, and hard to find something not in the way. Plus what bits of shade indoors or with AC there is its overrun by people also trying to escape the heat.

Universal would do well to install more cover for the summer and some more misting. Dark Universe had some fine misting going on out front but after that...HOT!

I will say the AC in Monsters Unleashed was top notch :)

Wanted to bid a fond farewell to WDW for another overall wonderful trip. Been 10 years since my last trip, and possibly my last one here. $, time, and health all taking a toll on life, but if I never make it back, I just want to say, it was a blast.

Highlights from my family trip:

- Guardians of the Galaxy - first time in, everything worked, wait time was low, and I got the one song I hoped for (Flock of Seagulls!!) . So, so much fun! Smooth coaster!

- Tron - might be short, but my goodness....smooth!

- Space Mountain - LOL you stupid ride...so much fun but everyone from my wife in front of me to the two folks behind me let out a collective groan about our backs on the first jolt. May you never change!

- Journey Into Imagination - I think you made my wife a Figment fan finally! Still Disney I demand you return it to OG glory.

- Galaxy's Edge - EVERYTHING! Only thing not working was the Hondo animatronic in Smugglers Run, but who cares so much fun!

Also spending the $$ on two sabers for my son and I...worth it!

- Spaceship Earth - no chariot, and the kid was still yelling to the wall, but the smell of Rome burning is worth it for one of my faves.

- American Adventure - loved that they extended the visuals and Golden Wings song. Still makes me tear up

- German Pavilion - I don't care, I will go EVERY TIME! The food and ambience!

- Special thanks to all the cast members. Everyone was so polite and nice and I did my best to thank everyone even for the smallest of things, because I also work in a service related industry and I appreciate greatly the work they do and all they put up with to make everyone's trips magical. Also a cast member sharing my daughter's name dusted my daughter with a snack drink today and that was awesome. Also I feel for the young lady working Tiana's on Sunday. Buncha young dorkums hopping around a log and mucking about. She finally said they need to get in the log and the one dork got lippy. She kept her cool.

- bathrooms: cleanest I've ever seen. And the Galaxy's Edge bathrooms? Top notch theming!

- food options, prices - honestly, since our last trip the food options are soooo much better, better bang for the buck, tasted amazing and pricing wasn't bad all things considered.

And now, the not so great:

- oh Lord the refurbs needed for: spaceship Earth, living with the land, small world, I noticed some bits of haunted mansion need a little TLC but not much, and a big ol bite me to lightning lane. Bring back fast pass! Paying for parking kinda sucks but it is, what it is.

- leaving. Wish I lived closer sometimes to just get annual passes to be here.
