So I decided to go with my father into the mountains near where I live just to explore, for context, this place has lot vegetation and wildlife, near by this area (farther down) are a few buildings for nature conservation and I think some people live in the area as well, only a few if any. This area also has a cemetery 4 minutes away further up in the mountains. But all in all this place is largely secluded with some rotting, and unfinished structures.
Anyways, as me and my father were heading out, he spotted what he suspected was a river, he pulled to the side of the road to see. When we got off the car, we saw a LOT of trash, this is somewhat normal, as people just dump stuff they don’t want to deal with anymore. Although some stuff seemed odd, I saw the skin of a sheep that had been skinned, fur and all and some ripped pants with 2 plushies next to it… which concerned me a lot.
After seeing that I saw a bunch of disturbed dirt, in the center was a pile of dirt with a tarp peaking out. Me and my father looked at it confused on what it was until he says “I think it’s a grave, stay away”. He didn’t specify what grave it COULD be, just not to get close. We went the rest of the time exploring the odd place and found the river, though it was dry. When we were heading out it started to smell like death.
This was yesterday, and I’ve been wondering since if I should report it to the police incase? The disturbed dirt seemed pretty fresh and the pile seemed human sized. I know it’s a dumb question. But I guess I’m just asking if there’s any other explanation for what it could be, becuase naturally, I don’t wanna believe I was near a possible corpse of a human
For ADDED context. People don’t like going to this area of the mountains, it’s said that the KKK gather here. My mother says she knew a man who was run off the road in these mountains by them. Another thing to add, is before I knew any of these things, a few years ago I came to this area, tho on a different road, I was having a nice time until I saw a box which seemed to contain items you would have when moving from a home. Upon seeing it, I got an immense dreadful feeling that I needed to turn back and I did.
Anyways…what do I do…
