My kitchen is so dated!
I’m so done with it. At the very least, the floor needs to go. It’s linoleum and damaged/stained. With 3 little kids and pets, it needs to be waterproof and durable. I love the thought of tile.
I hate the countertops too. They have a few tiny spots of damage but I feel like it brings the whole kitchen down.
The cabinets I’d like to paint. I Iike the blue cabinets I see sometimes but it’s a small kitchen so anything that will make it seem more airy and will go ok against the wall color. Backsplash I have no clue.
The trash/roborock/toaster area drives me nuts. I am thinking about one of those counter height cabinet trash can things.
I want to keep the wall colors. I will be repainting the area beneath the chair rail so I’m open to ideas there. I want to keep the small table. What are your thoughts about the fridge placement? I hate the way the door opens to the wall. The handle hits right on the corner and the wall paint is starting to chip.
I am planning on doing this myself. I’m pretty handy and I’m good with my hands so I’d like to think it’s feasible, even if it will take time.
