Kinda feels like the current and upcoming updates are just rolling back a lot of the changes we got in that utility reduction patch like 7 months ago.

I have a lot of spare time rn so out of boredom I was looking at the threads reacting to the utility usage spam patch 12.05 I think it was.

Basically at first it seemed both sides (this is perfect) and (this sucks) both were pretty equally supported. But as time goes on more and more threads not liking the update (especially ones calling out 60 second timers and the sentinel nerfs) got relegated more and more simply as babies who sucked at aiming and relied on utility for any kills.

Personally I always fell more on the side of not liking the update overall but also thinking it was the right move as a whole. Kind of contradictory but essentially I just felt Riot had the right idea but did not execute it well.

However this patch and the upcoming sentinel patch made me think that maybe we did have a point.

Dropping timers from 60 to 50 for example was something that was VERY frequently brought up. 10 seconds is a long time and strikes a balance. And I have no idea why riot thought nerfing every single sentinel and taking ones like Cypher and Vyse out back and shooting them in the head was a good idea.

I mean, did they really not think about the consequences of agents like neon without literally I believe, only vyse's thorns being able to slow her down in a world where she can evade every trap in the game? Or juat slowing down anyone in general?

It just feels like they realized they went way to far and that a lot of the people who were being critical or yes, whining, actually had a point for once even as far back as the original patch. But does it really take 7 months to realize that maybe Cypher should be allowed to you know, CC people?

I kinda feel vindicated tbh.

Also I say rolling back in the title but I really just mean finding a good middle ground which I think will leave valorant when all is said and done, in one of the best states it will have been for a while.

A good balance between old and new sounds fantastic imo. I really am excited to see what they can do for sentinels.

(PS give vyse back her flash notification 🥲)

DICE thank you for NOT making weapons be unlocked at the end of every first path!

It really irritated me having to play so much to unlock new guns. Having the first be at the recruit and then each other weapon be the end of the first part of each makes everything flow so much better.

You still have to invest time to unlock the new guns like in previous bf titles but unlike 2042 which would often lock them to levels 30 or 40 or bf6 which would often have them be unlocked very late into each path.

You unlock them at about the same rate as you would in bf3 or bf4.

Still has an incentive for people impatient to skip ahead but also iant enough of a grind to be a annoying to anyone who just wants them

Am I ready for the upcoming ultimate raid?

When I asked the person who crafted it why they did it, they said "I was bored."

Okay fair game.

Honestly when they finally add flashback we will be so back.

Working with OBS ia generally easy but can be a big pain especially when it comes to hq video files.
