I’ve been making espresso with my Gaggiuino for a while now. Recently in March obtained my Z1, which I love. For the last several months, I have been pulling consistent shots in the 175-200um range. With the pressure flow profile I use that gets me a 45g shot in 80-90s which is juicy and full of flavor. However, the last couple weeks it seems, I keep having to go finer on the grinder, but my shots keep finishing early (45s). My puck prep hasn’t changed my gear hasn’t changed. Is this common for the grinder as it becomes seasoned to shift? This morning I pulled a shot at 150um, and it’s still finished in 45s…I’m at a loss.
Anyone experienced something similar?
