Apartment Essentials to buy a few years in advance
I am planning to move out of my parents house in 2-3 years and I want to slowly acquire essentials or things needed in an apartment. If I can id like to save money in the long run instead of buying everything when I first move into a place and avoid last minute purchase stress.
What are the essentials I can start buying in advance and store in a storage unit before moving out?

Thank you to everyone responding to my post. 😊 I’d like to also include, I do already have an emergency fund and use a HYS account. Before getting a storage unit, I have tried to store some small items either in the garage or a separate space in the house but my mom is set in her ways about certain things and it would just be best for a least the time being use a storage unit. Ideally I’d like to plan for 2-3 in advance but I know life can be unexpected and things may change.
